A university funding proposal is a document which contains an appeal by a university to be granted more funds for specific reasons by sponsors, and organizations. Such a document is a formal document and it must be written with clear objectives. It will form the basis on which first impressions will be formed and hence, care should be taken while composing the university funding proposal. The amount of money needed, and the reasons for which funding will be required must be given prime importance.
Sample University Funding Proposal:
University funding proposal submitted by: Warwickshire University
Date of submission of university funding proposal: 1st June 2011
University funding proposal submitted to: Board of Trustees, University Funds Body.
Purpose for university funding proposal:
- The university has decided to expand from its current 1000 acre campus on St Mary’s Street, London, to Redwood Street. This move has been long in the offing, and with the influx of more and more students, space crunch has prompted us to finally make the transition.
- This move will be for the benefit of students. The new campus shall be state of the art and it shall contain the Humanities departments. The total amount of funding required for this huge move will be to the tune of 200 million pounds. Around 50 percent of the amount has been collected through sponsorships, donations, and the effort of our alumnae.
- We hope that in lieu of our sustained academic excellence and contribution to the University Funds Body, we shall be granted the remaining amount as expansion funds.
We hope to hear from you soon. Thanking you,
Warwickshire University
