Proposal Rejection Letter

A proposal rejection letter is a document which outlines a company, institution or individual’s rejection of a particular proposal and the reasons for the rejection. Care should be taken to make the tone of the rejection letter professional and warm simultaneously. The proposal rejection letter must mention the causes for which the proposal has been rejected, and it should ensure that there is no bitterness in the manner in which the rejection is conveyed.

It is with deep regret that we inform you that your research proposal for our International Conference on Shakespearean Studies, to be held on the 23^rd and 24^th of November 2012, has been found inadequate. The proposal is duly attached along with this document, and we do not retain any copy of it. We hope you will take this rejection positively and continue the good work you have been doing.

The proposal was not accepted as it does not conform to the guidelines we laid down, and it has been found to exceed the framework of the conference. We hope that you will continue to provide us with proposals as your application was found to be interesting and analytical by a number of scholars on our panel, but could not be accepted due to the particular constraints of the seminar. We look forward to include you in seminars to come.
